Our History

Antan Producing Limited was established with a clear vision: to take full control of key oil and gas assets and maximise their potential for Nigeria’s benefit. Our journey reached a major milestone on February 1, 2023, when APL officially assumed operations of four strategic Oil Mining Leases (OMLs) previously managed by Addax Petroleum Development Nigeria Ltd.

This transition marked the conclusion of a 24-year Production Sharing Contract between Addax and NNPC, ushering in a new era where APL, as an indigenous company, ensures that these assets are developed with a focus on efficiency, sustainability, and national interest.

By taking over these assets, APL is committed to:

  • Enhancing production efficiency through modernised operations.
  • Optimising oil and gas recovery while reducing environmental impact.
  • Empowering local communities by creating jobs and investing in sustainable development initiatives.

This historic transition reinforces APL’s strategic role in Nigeria’s energy sector, ensuring that the country retains greater control and benefits from it’s natural resources.
